Ship Your Mercedes Home

When you schedule your European excursion, you and your MB Representative will arrange for delivery of your vehicle to the U.S. Through our Home Shipment Process, we ship, customs-clear and deliver your new Mercedes-Benz to the Motor Werks’ Mercedes-Benz Dealer of your choice.

Your vehicle will arrive at the east-coast port of Baltimore or Jacksonville in approximately six to eight weeks. Shipment to the west-coast port of Los Angeles takes approximately eight to ten weeks. Drop-off locations outside Germany require additional shipping and prolong the process.

If you choose to drop off your vehicle in Munich, take it directly to the E.H. Harms office.)

If you wish to see more of Europe with your new Mercedes-Benz after your package tour ends, please arrange in advance to leave your vehicle at one of our drop-off points.

Documentation

You'll receive a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin when you take delivery of your Mercedes-Benz. Do not lose this important document. (This does not apply if you lease or finance your vehicle through Mercedes-Benz Financial Corporation.)

We cannot obtain your license plates and international registration or issue your vehicle documents without your passport number, date and place of issue, place (city and state) of birth and date of birth. Please provide this information to your Dealer when you finalize your order and present your passport to DaimlerChrysler AG when you pick up your vehicle.

International Insurance & Registration

Vehicles operated in Europe must be covered by liability insurance. A driver must possess an International Motor Insurance Card (Green Card) and an Insurance Identification (Yellow Card). Daimler AG obtains and issues insurance documents. Base vehicle prices include 15-day zero-deductible coverage that begins on the delivery date as indicated on the Confirmation of Order/Invoice. The effective date cannot be changed unless Mercedes-Benz USA, Montvale, NJ, is advised at least three weeks before the confirmed delivery date.

International Registration is limited to the duration of your insurance and cannot exceed a period of 12 months from date of registration. The expiration month and year will be embossed on the German Export Registration plates. International Registration is not valid until the end of the month embossed; it remains valid only until the actual date of that month when your insurance expires. If you would like to purchase additional insurance, please contact your dealer representative, who will submit a written request to Mercedes-Benz USA
.
